How To Submit A Post to WarRetreat

There are three ways for contributors to write for WarRetreat. Please read all of this:

  1.  Experiential articles by active duty service members, veterans, families, contractors, journalists and humanitarian aid workers. They could be about the journey from battlefield to home, or things you’ve found helpful along the way.  Articles should be brief, between 100-500 words, and will be edited for clarity.  Send two .jpg images if you have them. (Pictures go over REALLY well. If you can tell the story in photos that’s fine too). WarRetreat does not run articles for any individual or business wanting to sell a service or product.
  2. Press release about an upcoming event involving yoga, veterans, and trauma or PTSD. The press release needs to cover, Who, What, Where, When and Why.
  3. Review a book, CD, or a DVD that has been helpful to you. We like first person accounts, and also encourage family members to review books that have been particularly helpful in gaining understanding.  If the product you’re reviewing has been sent to you free, this must be stated in the review.

WarRetreat will choose the stories that are the best match.

We depend on the writer to social network the article as much as possible. Twitter, FB, Reddit, Google+ as well as direct messages work very well. Common hashtags are “veterans, military, yoga, ptsd, stress relief.”

Contact us here. Someone will answer your query as soon as possible.

  1. Aw, this was an extremely nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to
    produce a top notch article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a
whole lot and never seem to get anything done.
