Because this blog got its start in honor of Tim Hetherington, it seems fitting to include this news here. Restrepo won the Emmy today at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards
Ceremony in NYC. A huge team of people worked so hard to get it here: editors, publicists, producers, number crunchers. I mean, it was a whirlwind, so many people put their heart and soul into this film so the world could see the humanity behind those who are the hearbeat of combat. While it’s victorious, it’s also bittersweet. Still, I think Sebastian and Tim would be the first to say, “Well done, everyone.”
Much love to his parents, his brother and sister, nieces, nephews, many friends, Mike, and Idil. On accepting the award:
His death, said Junger, has left “a gaping absence. He devoted his life to chronicling the human cost of war.”

Awesome news!
Of course my brother is the one giving bunny ears! Haha. I AM SO EXCITED TO HEAR THIS NEWS!!! Beaming with pride right now..
